Comedienne, actress, communicate star and mother, these were just some of the traits of the on the whole around entertainer, idler Brice. She brought sparkle to the darkest songs and laughter to unknown depths. Starting as a vaudeville doer and working her way up to weighing machine to a Zeigfield Follie was quite the journey for a lady to reach out in a life. But somehow, someway Fanny got through it all and seemed to have a ripple effect on peoples lives. Even today, she is know known even if you dont know who she was. The creation of some of the most well-known songs and characters all bring it certify to Fanny and her life story. Fanny has brought a a solidifying to the table, some times a little too much to handle, and what she has made apparent in the musical theater human race is that people can in fact do it all. She was an all around grateful entertainer.
Fania Borach was born October 29th 1891 parvenu York, New York on the lower east side, and she was born to perform. As a child Fannys mother took her to every show they could get at and started her love for performing at a very newborn age.
Even though she was the third of four children and had a inebriated as a father, her mother still made time for Fanny and cheered her, on her journey to her dream. She then quit nurture at the age of 14 to become a performer on the low-down burlesque circuits. She later changed her name to Fanny Brice and got her first professional job in the chorus of The let loose of the Town but ironicely she got fired during rehearsals by the big certain star George M. Cohen. Young Fanny was a strong hero and didnt give up her dream of entertaining.
