Introduction

Coal transport process from Australia to china.
The vast majority of char mines ar located in Queensland and New South Wales in Australia shown on figure 1.0 on page (). The process of transportation to chinaware starts at the mine its self where the coal is mined and stage into storage where it awaits to be processed. Once it has been processed it then is travel to storage on a conveyer belt to a designated storage area as shown on figure 2.0 page () (Bhaskar 2010). The coal is firstly loaded into carriage wagons capable of carrying slightly 7,100 tonnes each at a loading rate of 3,600 tonnes per hr (Curragh 2008).



It is stated that the Curragh mine has trains filled and on their way in two three hours, this is done by separate calciferol tonne surge bins and loading chutes (Curragh 2008). The coal is then transported by QR Limited and Pacific National via the Goonyella, Blackwater, Moura and West Moreton rail system. These trains go away travel to one of four coal exporting ports in Queensland (Tmr 2010).
Once the train has arrived at one of the selected ports it will overleap its cargo by using the aluminium tumbling wagons that construction upside down emptying the cargo into receivable hoppers beneath the track (Australian coal 2008).
