I am employed and currently teaching at Mount San Antonio College part time for 12 years. I am an American, of Mexican descent, and a first generation college graduate from eastern Los Angeles, I am aware of the challenges presented to students due to culture, finances and diversity, in which college students cope, as I have experienced them first hand. Also, Im aware of the challenges of the returning, working students with children. Students with disabilities also have redundant needs, for attention, dedication and awareness.
Respect, privacy, and consideration to scholars are very important to me and to the students as well. The mature student also has challenges to overcome and with guidance, they will. I look at that I am able to serve all students. I am willing to go the extra mile to turn back that students have a working knowledge of the subject matter.

Mount San Antonio College is also dedicated to this philosophy in which, the student and education comes first.
