I had the hardest time trying to figure out what I was passing to spell my compare and contrast essay on, and being that discolor History Month just passed; I decided to write it on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. Both were two influential leaders who changed this nation tremendously by expressing their beliefs to the masses. Even though they both had similar messages concerning their beliefs, they were quite antithetic, and went about their teachings two unlike ways. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. taught to love thy brother, and if provoked react, exclusively do it peace broady. However, Malcolm X simply stated We want freedom by every government agency necessary. We want justice by any means necessary. We want equality by any means necessary. (Myers, W. Dean, 1994)
The differences in their early childhood experiences I think in spades helped shaped the men that each individual became in the end, and contributed to their different views on racism. Martin Luther King Jr. was raised in a household where education was stressed. He graduated from high instill at 15, and went to Morehouse and received not only his Bachelors in Divinity, but a Doctorate of Ph.D.

Shortly after that he locomote to Montgomery, Alabama, and got ordained as a minister. Malcolm X was born into a very poverty stricken household being that he had nine brothers and sisters, and three of his brothers died at the hands of white men. The Ku Klux Klan in any case lynched his uncle, and murdered his father when he was quite young. After each of that personal trauma Malcolms mother suffered a awkward breakdown, and was committed to an institution; which forced her children into foster care. While go to middle school, Malcolm had dreams of becoming a lawyer, but his teacher told him in that respect was no such thing as a forbidding lawyer.
