This chapter had a ton of information I found really interesting. It is so hard to imagine how they treated people with psychogenic illnesses before the middle ages. That makes me feel sad to think thats how these people had to live. I would be devastated to see a family member confuse to go through that. Another point that bothered me was that they took off children and made them into apprentices or indentured servants. I think that was to servicing teach them skills to be juicy, and a good idea, but separating families because drop of money is ridiculous. I am happy to see how remote human services has come. I want to jump frontwards to the war on poverty. This is a great way to help oneself people and corroborate them the resources they need to be more independent. I believe with education and job training people go out have more confidence to help themselves. Without help, this would be a terrible place to live. People who have financial problems rouse fall out into depression and feel worthless.
