1. Background
......is a 25 bedded acute gash unit based at ..... Hospital which forms part of the ...... Hospitals Trust. As the only acute hospital in the county we admit up to 90% of psyches who suffer an acute stroke in Cornwall to our unit. Our unit philosophy is to provide specialist stroke c be and replenishment to these individuals. This is delivered by a holistic multidisciplinary squad, in order for the individual to get to an optimum level of recovery that will make haste a safe discharge. Although ....... hospital ward is a multidisciplinary working unit, my concentrate for this assignment will be within the breast feeding team. The care for team is made up of 15 registered nurses and 25 non-registered wellness care assistants and house-keepers; that have recently been merged together from cardinal previously existing wards. My role within the team is that of of age(p) provide nurse, I am responsible and accountable to my ward manager and together we lead the whole nursing team of 40 people.



The workplace problem that my manager and I determine is our responsibility to resolve as we have a profession to ensure we provide effective leadership and management to the staff we employ in order that we have an effective team that will provide the best possible service to our users.
2. description of the problem
The nursing team is not working effectively delinquent to the recent merge. As a team we need to plant exactly which areas need addressing first as staff are currently unable to clearly define any particular proposition problem.
This potential/improvement problem has been created because two teams have been merged into one against their will. Higher level management needed to action money and decided the quickest way to achieve this was to taut beds.
