Regardless of this tumultuous history, Israel has managed to establish itself as unmatchable of the most highly developed and economically stable countries in the world. Within a mere span of sixty-four days as a recount, and with a population that comes from over unitary hundred different countries and five continents[1], it has been successful in forming a language, culture, and strong national identity all of its own. I. History of rise and Conflict. After the end of World War II, the British withdrew from the colonise mandates of Palestine and Transjordan. Following the withdrawal of the British, the United Nations proposed partitioning the state among the Palestinians and the newly formed Israeli-Jewish identity. This partition was swiftly rejected by the Palestinians. The rejection resulted in the Arab-Israeli fight in May of 1948 that ended in March 1949 with Israel gaining fifty percent of the Palestinian-allotted land and the absorption of the be land (Present day West Bank and Gaza) into Jordan and Egypt[2]. This would not be the end of war for Israel.

Jordan-occupied West Bank and Egyptian-occupied Gaza would only blend until June 1967, with the Israeli victory in the Six Day War. along with both these territories, Israel also obtained the Egyptian Sinai peninsula and Syrian Golan Heights.
